Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain adhered to the outer-surface of the tooth.

Porcelain has a translucent quality that is quite similar to tooth enamel.  Porcelain is a far stronger material than composite resin (even with the improvements in resin materials over the years).  Most dentists agree that porcelain veneers offer the most natural, tooth-like aesthetics.

E-max Veneers

What is the difference between E-max and porcelain veneers?

eMax veneers come in thicknesses of between 0.3mm and 0.5mm, while conventional porcelain veneers have a minimum thickness of 0.5mm. eMax veneers allow for more flexibility. Increased durability – Traditional porcelain veneers are prone to cracks and chips because of their thickness.

Crafted from high strength porcelain and custom-made for the individual, Emax Veneers are thin layered and bonded to the front surface of the teeth. This enhances both the function and appearance of teeth.

How long does E-max Veneers last? E-max veneers done with average dentist can last up to 5 to 20 years, depending on how well you take care of them.  Usually correcting your bite is ideal before doing a set of veneers.

Are E-max veneers the best?

As for choosing which material to use for your veneers, if you prefer a material that has better light transmission, translucency, and outstanding aesthetics, then E-max is the choice for you. The fact that it allows more light gives your veneers a more natural appeal.

MAC Veneers

MAC Veneers are highly aesthetic porcelain veneers. They are made from high strength pressed ceramic porcelain. Pressed ceramic veneers are stronger and more resistant to staining than traditional feldspathic porcelain veneers.

What is the difference between MAC Veneers and other porcelain veneers?

The problem with most pressed ceramic veneers is that, even though they are stronger, they do not look as good as the traditional feldspathic porcelain veneers. However, the advantage of MAC Veneers is that their highly experienced technicians work very hard to recreate the beauty of feldspathic veneers using pressed ceramics and achieve an unbelievable aesthetic finish.

Who manufactures MAC Veneers?

This type of veneer is made by the most highly experienced ceramists at Micro Dental Laboratories in America and Canada.

When can MAC Veneers be used?

Hollywood Smile makeovers – They are great for those patients who are looking for that amazing celebrity smile.

Gaps between Teeth –They can be used to close small gaps between teeth very quickly and effectively.

Crowded Teeth – These veneers can make crowded teeth appear straight for those patients who do not wish to have lengthy orthodontic treatment.

Stained Teeth – For those patients who suffer from deep tooth staining perhaps as a result of root canal treatment or tetracycline staining and those stains that remain even after teeth whitening, veneers can provide a life changing smile transformation.

Broken down Teeth – Teeth that have suffered trauma or damage can be built up once more. Veneers can restore the tooth’s shape and colour in a natural looking way.

What is the procedure for getting MAC Veneers?

  1. Case assessment and impressions for the Trial Smile.

  2. Three to four weeks later there will be a Trial Smile review for patients to see a preview of the expected results.

  3. Preparation of teeth, impressions, and provision of temporary veneers similar in shape to the final MAC veneers.

  4. Three to four weeks later the cementing of the final veneers will take place.

How long do Mac Veneers last?

On average, veneers last around 10 years. We provide a 12 months guarantee.
